Spare a thought for the driver

Two women (a Spaniard and a Belgian) died last night after being hit by an AVE high-speed train on route from Málaga-Madrid.

It occurred shortly after 9.30pm near Santa Ana station in Antequera, 50km north of Málaga.

According to the driver, "the two women appeared to throw themselves in front of the train", and investigators are working on the theory that the pair committed suicide.

I can not imagine the turmoil of the two troubled women's minds, but also spare a thought for the services involved in the clean up operation, and the train driver.
