Localised Earth Tremors

We had two (earthquake) tremors yesterday; the first one in the morning made a rumbling noise and shook the house for a few seconds, a friend of ours felt it 2 km away. The second one in the evening was very intense, it was felt over 7 km away, the noise was loud, and the house seemed to shake forever, even though it was probably only 5 seconds, it was very frightening. Most of the villagers came out into the street to see what was going on. Our 70 year old neighbour had never felt anything like that before in this area.

Apart from that, generally speaking I think the weather has finally settled down after last month’s (annual) storms. It’s been in the low 30s all weekend, and looks the same for this week as well, it should steadily rise to low 40s throughout August and September, and keep fine till November.
