Alternative Power

It was my pleasure today to talk to John, who has been here for 3 years, and has completed work on his house and separate casita that he rents.

We were discussing the merits of solar power, as his properties are very much in the country and have no mains electric. He was telling me the system never overloads or cuts out, no matter how many appliances he is using.

We went on to discuss a young mutual friend Damian, who has two small children, and also runs his house on solar power, and will soon be fitting central heating using gas cylinders.

My point is, we British have a hard time accepting alternative power, which is a great pity because not only is it cost effective, but there are also some bargain properties out there without mains electric.

Our featured property for September is on solar power and is for sale at 175,000€ an equivalent property on mains electric would have a value of 230,000€ It will cost you 55,000€ more, and your bills will be higher, so it's time to wise up.

I'm late tonight writing this, as we have had a storm for the last two hours, and the power has been off, therefore no computer, no stove for a hot coffee, and candle's to light the way, how poignant that today I've been discussing alternative power, and we are on mains, John and Damian are laughing literally all the way with solar power.
